The Archipelago of Cabrera just off the coast of the paradise island of Mallorca, is in itself, a Maritime-Terrestrial National Park. Fiercely protected from the hoards of tourist by the local government, visits are strictly controlled.
The lovingly preserved 14th century castle prominently located overlooking the small harbour once protected the island from pirates.
There is a famous blue lagoon near by that just has to be seen to be believed.
The view I have painted here, is the one that greets me every time I drive home in the evening, from a visit to Palma.
This painting was the preliminary study for a much larger painting of the same subject matter.
