Cala Mondrago is visited by thousands of beach and sun worshippers every summer, but what most of our visitors do not see, are the incredible tropical storms during the winter season.
The sky is filled with stunning purples, greys and blues, washed with pinks and turquoise accompanied by the deep rumbles of thunder reverberating around the national park.
Just as a storm was approaching one afternoon, I rushed down to the beach with my trusty camera and snapped a few photographic studies.
The end result you see here in this oil on canvas, ''study of a storm'', aims to capture those deeply emotive moments as the storm clashes with the land.
