The stunning paradise bay of Mondrago located within the national park on the south eastern corner of the island of Mallorca never ceases to amaze me. The incredible depth and variety of colour will always provide me with subject matter for my canvases. An absolute dream for the view painter.
In this painting the view is across the bay looking at the award winning beach of s'Amarador. I have removed the hoards of yachts and sun worshippers that frequent the bay in the summer months to reveal what is for me, one of natures most stunning Mediterranean locations.
This oil on canvas has taken 4 months to paint and forms part of my ''Mondrago Park'' series. I have used traditional painting techniques handed down to me by my illustrious tutor R. P. Reynolds in whose studio I learned the art of landscape painting and composition.
