Playa s'Amarador located in Cala Mondrago on the south east corner of the paradise island of Mallorca is a perfectly preserved natural beach with no hotels or permanent structures around it that gives it's many visitors a glimpse of Mallorca before the tourist trade started in the 70's.
I never seem to be completely satisfied with this amazing spot. There are always new shrubs and trees popping up casting a stunning variation of shadows across the vista.
This particular view is your eye opener as you approach the beach on a 5 minute walk from the car park.
I think for me though, it is the ever changing depth and range of colours that captivate my senses, forcing me back every few months in an attempt to capture this little piece of paradise on canvas.
This painting forms part of a ''one off '' triplicate of Cala Mondrago.
To enhance the colours I have embedded every application of paint in an oil and varnish glaze.
